Michael Candela graduated summa cum laude from Villanova University and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society. At Villanova he also was the president of the History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Thea, and was a member of the Political Science Honor Society, Phi Sigma Alpha, as well as the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Michael received his J.D. from Pace University School of Law and graduated cum laude. During law school, he wrote an article that was published in the Pace University International Law Review entitled "Judicial Notification: A Simple Solution to Ensure Compliance with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations."

Since joining Bashian & Farber in the Fall of 2006, he has co-written and published several articles including articles for the Westchester County Bar Association Newsletter and the Westchester County Bar Journal.

Michael Candela is a member of the Westchester County (Trusts and Estates Section, Elder Law Committee), Westchester Women's Bar Association and New York State Bar Association.
